Built in Jamaica. Every listing sourced.

Sources

Registers we check.

Every verified fact on JaRanks links back to one of these sources and shows the date we checked it.

A “Verified against register” label means we found the provider in one of the official registers below and stored the link, the registration number where published, and the check date. Government pages and laws back the steps in our guides. Anything that rests on our own judgement is labelled editorial.

Official registers

Licence and practitioner registers published by regulators. A match here is what “Verified against register” means.

Government and agency pages

Ministry and agency pages we cite for procedures, fees and contacts.

Laws and regulations

Primary legal text, cited when a guide states a requirement.

News and public information

Newspapers and the Jamaica Information Service, used for dated events only.

Provider-confirmed

Details a provider confirmed to us directly, shown as “Provider confirmed”.

JaRanks editorial

Our own judgement, always labelled as such and never presented as a register fact.

Licences and reuse

Most registers are public pages with no explicit reuse licence. We link to them, record the facts we need (name, registration number, status, date checked), and write our own descriptions. Where a publisher states a licence, for example the Government of Jamaica Open Data terms, it is shown beside the source. We never reproduce a register wholesale and we never copy a publisher’s text.

If you publish a register and want it cited differently, or you see a source that is out of date, tell us via the contact page.
