How the tracker handles changing data
The page checks Petrojam’s public price archive for its newest record, validates the post metadata, fetches that official page, and accepts it only when each of the seven supported product labels appears once with a plausible positive value. Otherwise it retains its last verified table and says so. A newer live record remains cached within the running server process, but the bundle is the cold-start fallback.
The twelve-table history is a versioned copy of official Petrojam releases. The result subtracts the previous stored official table to show the movement between those dated tables and multiplies the selected litres by the billing price without adding a fictional retailer markup.
When reliable news reports a newer movement before Petrojam’s archive publishes the matching table, JaRanks shows only the reported increase or decrease. It does not derive a replacement price or promote news into the official headline table.

Is this the price I will pay at a gas station?
Not necessarily. It is Petrojam's billing price per litre. Marketing companies and retailers add their own markups, so pump prices vary.
How often do the prices change?
Petrojam normally publishes weekly tables. JaRanks checks the archive every 30 minutes when this page is requested and shows a stale warning when the latest validated record is older than eight days.
What happens if Petrojam's page is unavailable?
The tracker retains its last verified table, or the bundled snapshot on a fresh server, with its original date and a source-status warning. It never substitutes zero or an unlabelled estimate.
Why can a reported update be newer than the official headline?
A news report may describe a movement before Petrojam's public archive exposes the matching full table. JaRanks shows the movement separately and does not derive a replacement official price.
