I am very disappointed in the service, and to think they were recommended. My wedding gown from 24 years ago will be worn by my sister-in-law. My mom left the gown for dry cleaning in its original bag. On collection (two days ago), the bag was missing, and no one could account for it. Then, when we took the gown out of the plastic today, and the day before the wedding I might add, the gown now has a spot on the front of the gown. It appears as though attempts were made to remove the spot. At the time, of collection no mention was made of the spot. A call was placed to Spic and Span, and the supervisor had the absolute nerve to say that she saw the spot, but didn't call as she didn't have my mother's contact number; she's been their customer for decades). I have photographic evidence of the gown prior to drop-off, and there are no stains on the gown. So not only did they fail to return the gown in its original bag, they stained the gown, didnt inform us at the time of pick up, and would not take any responsibility for the damage. My recommendation to anyone dropping of items such as bridal gowns, inspect the gown IN FRONT of the person receiving the item and take photos as well as proof.
