About
Hidden in the hills of St. Mary Parish, Tacky Falls is one of Jamaica’s lesser-known waterfalls. The falls are named after Tacky, a famous slave leader who led a rebellion in the 18th century. Reaching the falls requires a challenging hike through dense forest, but the sight of the cascading water amidst untouched nature is a rewarding experience for adventurous travelers.

How we verify
A listing is marked verified only when we match it to an entry in an official public register and link to that entry. Listings without a match show as Listed. We do not invent phone numbers, hours or licence numbers — if a field is missing, we did not have a source for it. See the registers we use.
